Koh Kradan is the southernmost of the 3 Trang islands, and perhaps the most-visited. On weekends Thai tour boats often appear at Kradan, some carrying dozens of students or company workers all in bright red life vests, for few Thais from non-coastal areas can swim (see our beach photos). Guests play on the island's beautiful East coast beach. There is a coral reef a little way out, also, which is ideal for snorkelling.

Koh Kradan has the second largest number of beachfront hotels, with all 5 establishments right on the beach, generally 2-star budget. They span the range from cheap thatch and bamboo bungalows to an up-market, quality boutique resort. As more and more foreign tourists discover these islands the resorts respond with gradual upgrading and expansion.
